Cordyline Australis Palm Pack of 3 plants Long strap-shaped evergreen leaves look stunning planted in pots to give a Mediterranean feel to any sunny patio. Often hardy against south-facing walls and in the south of the country but should be protected from frost. Grows to a height of 30in. (75cm) and a spread of 20in. (50cm). During winter, move indoors into a cold greenhouse, conservatory, or place under cover outside. Rain water tends to collect inside the central crown, if then frost follows it rots the centre of the plant. Otherwise dead easy to grow and doesn't mind not being watered all the time. Not easily located, slightly larger varieties of these palms retail at garden centres for over £25 each! |
