Melica Red Spire Grass Pack of 6 plants A very striking specimen grass, 'Red Spires' bears up to 40 stems of deep red showy spike like flowers, arching 12"-18" above the foliage in early June. The leaves start out glossy green and turn reddish brown as they age. Reaching a height of 3'-5' this Melica makes an excellent early summer flowering accent in the garden. Melica likes moist, well drained fertile soil. Brilliant for the container with other grasses or in the border. |
